Link receives the Deku Leaf from the Great Deku Tree in order to be able to fly to the Forbidden Woods so he can save Makar and recover Farore's Pearl. After Link is done on this island, The player can choose to visit the Nintendo Gallery. There is a theory going on that says that Forest Haven is actually Kokiri Forest, Or at least the evolution since the Great Sea etc. And that the Koroks are descendants of the Kokiri. This is actually supported since Makar's Ancestor has been confirmed as a Kokiri. And inside the Forbidden Woods are structures that look like homes, So it is possible that lore-wise Forest Haven and The Forbiden Woods were once Kokiri Forest and Lost Woods. | |||
