History
In Twilight Princess Ordon Village is the site where the prologue takes place. Link works at the local Ranch, helping Fado heard Goats. During the start of the game Link must complete many tasks round the Village, which will inlcude a number of tutorials. His first task is to finish up herding the Goats at the Ordon Ranch. He will then awaken the next morning faced with a number of small tasks that Link must do to obtain the Slingshot. This will include knocking down the Beehive, retuning Uli's Cradle and returning Sera's cat. Link will also get the Wooden Sword here as a gift of Rusl, however Talo will take it off Link while chasing a Monkey.

In that game the village is the site where the prologue takes place. Link'll find one shop here, as well as a sumo wrestling ring which Link'll need to use a bit later in the game. After beating the second dungeon in the game, it is not needed to return to Ordon Village again. There are six items Link'll get in the Ordon Village.
Once the prologue is complete and King Bulbin has attacked Link and the rest of Ordon Village he will not be able to return until he has escaped Hyrule Castle. Once Link does escape his imprisonment with the aid of Midna he will be tasked with finding the Ordon Sword and the Ordon Sheild. The Sheild is located in Jaggle's House while the Sword is located in Rusl's House. Since Link is now in Wolf form, the people of Ordon will be hostile towards Link.

Later on in the game while having to traverse up Death Mountain, however Gorons will be blocking his path. Due to Link being inferior in terms of strength he will have to return to Ordon Village at the request of Renado. Link must speak to Mayor Bo, who will challenge Link to a sumo match, with the reward being the secret to outmatching the Gorons. Once Link has beaten Mayor Bo he will gift him with the Iron Boots. After this section of the plot there is no need to come back to Ordon Village.
