'''Marin''' is an important character that appears in the game ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening|Link's Awakening]]''. She is the daughter of [[Tarin]], and lives in [[Mabe Village]] on [[Koholint Island]]. When [[Link]] washes up on the shore, Marin finds and takes him back to her house, and takes care of him until he wakes up. She teaches Link the [[Ballad of the Wind Fish (Link's Awakening)|Ballad of the Wind Fish]], which is required to complete the game. Link also needs her to wake the sleeping walrus in order to gain access to [[Yarna Desert]]. Marin is said to have a sort of love interest in Link, but she never shows it.
