<b>Pieces of Power</b> are small flashing triangles that sometime materialize after link defeats an enemy on [[Koholint Island]] in [[Link's Awakening]]. These triangles only function by temporary increasing [[Link|link's]] sword based attacks, which are indicated by special music that plays and a flashing [[sword]] icon (see image below). This power-up either expires after a short time moving around or terminates upon entering or exiting a cave or building
