Tears of the Kingdom

Gusparis a member of the Zonai Survey Team who can be found on top of the Digdogg Suspension Bridge. He is investigating the ruins that have fallen in Gerudo Canyon.[1][2] He mentions that the survey team has setup camp at the suspension bridge to investigate the ruins, but conditions in the Gerudo Canyon are very difficult at the moment. Temperatures fluctuate from extreme heat during the day and freezing cold at night. Guspar encourages Link to speak with Fenlin, found at the nearby tent, to learn more about the extreme weather and food preparations.[3]

Guspar also mentions the Ring Ruins, which can be found well to the east at Kakariko Village.[4] When it begins to rain, Guspar will still investigate the ruins, but will move underneath the wood, so he doesn't get as wet. If Link talks to him on his way. If Link talks to him while he's on his way, he is annoyed and tells Link to at least let him get where he's going.[5]

Guspar wakes up each morning at 4am to investigate the ruins, before returning to bed, late at night.

However, lately the days in Gerudo Canyon have been blisteringly hot and the nights have been absolutely freezing. You'll collapse before long if you aren't prepared to deal with extreme weather. For example, I've been maintaining a careful diet to help me deal with these extreme temperatures. If you want to know more, chat with the girl in that tent over there. She should be able to answer any questions you have. You should keep an eye out for other investigators or travelers. If you're going to pass through Gerudo Canyon, you may find others with useful information to share!" — Guspar, Tears of the Kingdom

We've set up this camp so we can carry out a full investigation of that site. This area has a very harsh environment, but we make interesting discoveries every day, so it's worth it!
