Nintendo has never been shy about trying new things in their IP’s and with titles like Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros., the Zelda series has shown a compatibility with the crossover concept. Over the past few years, many new and old crossover attempts have been made, some more successful than others. With Zelda likely not receiving any new major titles due to the recent release of  Breath of the Wild and its DLC, it might be interesting to see Nintendo try another fusion of games. But what…

Breath of the Wild introduced one of the wildest collect-a-thons in any of the series, but there have always been many collectibles for players to obtain on their path to 100%. Heart containers, gold Skulltulas, Poe souls, even stamps all litter the world’s of Hyrule and beyond waiting to be found. I’m sure many Zelda fans out there are drowning in a sea of Korok seeds as they push for all 900. Many of them have already gotten there already….

One of the best things about Breath of the Wild‘s cooking mechanic was that it gave cooking-savvy Zelda fans dozens of cool recipes to replicate. Skilled chefs like Rosanna Pansino have been sharing their steps for making near flawless recreations, much to the delight of incompetent chefs like myself. Recently, Pansino released a video outlining how to make the Fruitcake from the “A Royal Recipe” sidequest. It’s a perfect treat for the upcoming holiday season, so check it out! This video…

Warning: Contains some spoilers. By now most players know that Breath of the Wild’s story is pretty serious and actually quite morose. It deals with a Hyrule in decay as Zelda and her five champions failed to protect it from the rise of Calamity Ganon 100 years prior. So naturally, to lighten the mood, we need to turn the story into a musical and make a parody of the whole thing. YouTube user LHUGUENY does just that, using quirky animation…

Nintendo UK is currently holding two #ZeldaMoments contests to commemorate Breath of the Wild’s success, and recognize some devoted UK fans. The second competition is the “#ZeldaMoments Creation Contest.” For this one, fans must create something that represents their favorite moment from Breath of the Wild and post a picture of it onto Instagram or Twitter, along with the ZeldaMoments hashtag. Two winners will receive an all expenses paid trip to see the Symphony of the Goddesses in London! The…

As of this week, sales figures in the Japanese gaming market show Breath of the Wild overtaking Twilight Princess in total sales to become the 5th highest selling Zelda title in the country. The figures, from data corporation Media Create, include Breath of the Wild’s sales on both the Wii U and Switch, and Twilight Princess’ sales on the GameCube and Wii. Breath of the Wild now sits at 709,091 units sold, edging out Twilight Princess’ 642,607 units. Game popularity…

The Zelda Dungeon Informer Marathon ended a little over a week ago. Staff members from both Zelda Informer and Zelda Dungeon played through the entire Zelda series in the span of a week and, teaming up with viewers, raised an even $5,000 for Extra Life. Considering the fact that the original goal was $2,000, that’s an amazing accomplishment, and it’s all going to such a wonderful cause! Now that the marathon is over, what did you guys think, if you…

Perhaps two of the greatest mysteries in the Zelda franchise are the origin of the demons, and their intentions. Multiple games feature demons in some capacity, but perhaps the two most informative examples are Skyward Sword and Spirit Tracks.  Dr. Wily has provided a wonderful video that explains these topics to us. Skyward Sword features both the Demon King Demise as the game’s final boss, as well as a demon named Batreaux. Batreaux wishes to be human so people won’t be terrified by him. By gathering Gratitude…

There is something fundamentally special about forest themes in the Zelda series. Many of them deliver a light, cheerful atmosphere, all the while signaling an attitude of child-like discovery. One of my personal favorites happens to be the Kokiri Forest theme from Ocarina of Time; so imagine my delight to see that The Team Players recently released a great acoustic cover of the timeless tune. Rod LloydRod Lloyd is the Editor-In-Chief at Zelda Dungeon, overseeing the news and feature content…

The first round of Breath of the Wild DLC has released, and with it comes the Tingle outfit. Approaching villagers while wearing it has some pretty hilarious results. Approaching townspeople while wearing it causes them to assume a defensive or startled posture, complete with facial animations. Furthermore, if you run around them, they will follow your movements, as if expecting you to try something. I think this is pretty hilarious. Tingle is a character with pretty divisive opinions, and I think…
