Tingle is a 35 year old man, who loves fairies and rupees.
Majora's Mask
Our first encounter with Tingle is in Majora's Mask. He is floating above making maps. If you pop Tingle's balloon, then he will talk to you, and comment on how you both have matching fairy costumes. You can then buy maps from Tingle.
Wind Waker
The next time we meet Tingle, we save him from a prison. For saving him from prison, we are given a map to his Island. You later must pay Tingle to translate your Triforce charts.
Four Swords
Sometimes when you cannot collect rupees fast enough, Tingle will fly in on his red balloon and snatch them up.
