Soal is a young boy who makes his living in Castle Town as a shoe shiner. Soal works just outside of Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium where he will offer to polish Link's shoes for a small fee of 10 Rupees. This is necessary if Link is to be allowed into Chudley's Emporium.
"Hey, you! Your shoes are grimy! No matter how good your clothes look, you don't look pulled together if your shoes are dirty. If someone's checking you out, they'll look at your shoes too... I bet they didn't let you in that snooty shop, did they? What do you think? I polish 'em up real nice for 10 Rupees."
