Smith's Sword is the first sword in the game and the weakest. The sword is sharp and was made by Link's grandfather. It is given very early on in the game. However, this sword can not be wielded this early on as it supposed to be a package to the king of Hyrule. However, when Princess Zelda has turned into stone, the king will give the sword to Link.
