Richard is the name of Mamamu Yan's dog in Ocarina of Time. Mamamu Yan, a proud owner of her precious dog, lives in the Back Alley of the Market. Richard is known to be faster than any dogs around, and is the only dog seen in the Market during the day.[1][2] During the night, Mamamu Yan can't find her little dog, thus being worried and asks Link to help her find him.[3] He can be found to the right near the Bazaar. If Link finds him and takes him to Mamamu Yan, she will reward Link with a Piece of Heart for his help.[4][5] When Link is an adult, Mamamu Yan's precious Richard has passed away, and is deeply missed.[6]
