A Hearty Elixir is an item in Breath of the Wild. It restores Link's health in full, in addition to adding some temporary hearts, the amount of which depends on the strength. This is especially useful when going into a boss battle or raiding a tough enemy camp. It is made by mixing at least one Monster Part and one or more Hearty Blueshell Snails or Hearty Lizards. Hearty Elixirs can also be bought from Beedle in exchange for Bladed Rhino Beetles and Energetic Rhino Beetles. The more Hearty ingredients added, the greater the number of Temporary Hearts the Elixir will give.
