"Restores you to full health and increases your maximum hearts. The additional hearts are lost as you take damage."
A Hearty Elixir is an item in Breath of the Wild. It restores Link's health in full, in addition to adding some temporary hearts, the amount of which depends on the strength. This is especially useful when going into a boss battle or raiding a tough enemy camp. It is made by mixing at least one Monster Part and one or more Hearty-ingredients, such as a Hearty Lizard. The more Hearty-ingredients added, the greater the amount of Temporary Hearts the Elixir will give.
