Goddess Cubes are ancient cubed objects left behind by the Goddess in Skyward Sword.

Goddess Cubes are new to the Zelda Series. Their first appearance is in Skyward Sword.
If Link strikes one with a Skyward Strike from the Goddess Sword or its enhanced versions, it activates a Goddess Chest in The Sky. They are only found on the Surface, and there are 27 of them in all.

If Link strikes them with the Goddess Sword, they will send a treasure chest in the air, and emit a beam signal so Link can easily retrieve them.
The rewards in the Goddess Chests range from Rupees to Heart Medals. For an easier find, Link can also use the Dowsing to find Goddess Cubes.

They are only found on the surface.
