Features
- Several pages introducing the game mechanics and mentioning the changes in the DX version of the game.
- Brief character appendix of some of the major characters.
- Massive overworld map that is in color, but otherwise identical to the Original Strategy Guide version.
- The maps and the display of them are identical in the DX guide to the original guide, other than the use of color and different symbols used.
- The text for the DX guide has been compete re-written from the original guide.
- Complete, room-by-room maps for all the dungeons.
- Includes some official artwork that has also appeared in other publications.
- Complete item, enemy, and boss appendices, filled with images and descriptions.
- Appendices in the back for all the heart pieces, secret seashells, and the trading sequence.
- Two-page guide covering all the photographs in the game, which made use of the Game Boy Printer.
- Perhaps a printing error, but the guide for inside the egg and the final bosses appears between Eagle's Tower and Turtle Rock.
- Includes a guide for the added Color Dungeon in the DX version of the game.
