The Deku Nut is a weapon in Ocarina of Time used to stun enemies temporarily. When thrown, a Deku Nut explodes releasing a blinding light which stuns many weaker enemies. Deku Nuts are ineffective against bosses and armored enemies. Deku Nuts can be used by both child and adult Link so they can be used whenever you want. Deku Nuts are also cheap to buy and are also sold in most stores in the game so you can easily buy them anywhere. They can also be found by killing most Deku Babas.
