Boars are animals from Breath of the Wild, and enemies from The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon.

Breath of the Wild

Two types of boar are present in Breath of the Wild — the Woodland Boar, and the stronger Red-Tusked Boar.

Non-Canon Appearances

This Section describes a subject that is or may be outside the core Zelda canon.

The Wand of Gamelon

These pig-like enemies will walk around on the ground in a single direction and try to walk into Zelda. They have no primary attack other than simply making contact with Zelda. This can be quite devastating, however, as there is no recovery time between hits.

Boars can also be very frustrating to defeat as depending on the height of the ground, they could be impossible to hit from some angles. Avoid Boars whenever possible, but if they must be fought then make sure they are slightly higher than Zelda so that you can slash at them with the sword. Boars will not give any ruby rewards once they are defeated.

The Faces of Evil

Boars appear in The Faces of Evil in largely the same fashion as their The Wand of Gamelon counterparts.
