An amiibo is a Skylanders-like figurine that you can place on your Wiiu or 3ds for extra game content. Amiibo have different effects for each game they are used in, for example in Hyrule Warriors they can be used to unlock special weapons or for random rewards. Waves of Amiibo are being released over time; a list of the announced Amiibo so far can be found below.
