Poison Mites are enemies encountered in Twilight Princess. They are commonly found within the Arbiter's Grounds and will appear in large numbers from a single spawn area, typically near quicksand.
Their only attack is to latch onto Link, which will heavily slow him down if enough latch onto him. If some do latch onto Link they can be shaken off by performing a Roll or a Spin Attack, the latter instantly killing any attached and nearby Poison Mites in the process. Virtually any weapon is capable of killing them in a single hit; however, hitting one can be tricky due to their small size.
They are completely incapable of directly harming Link and therefore serve more as an obstacle than an actual threat.
