Gohma can also be defeated without cutting off the claw. Wait for Gohma to lift her claw, preparing to grab Link, then shoot her eye with the seed shooter. This method is extremely hard to do because Gohma will likely grab Link. Also, it takes more hits to defeat her this way. The one advantage is that Gohma will not summon the annoying larva, but this is also a disadvantage since no recovery hearts or seeds can be found. | |||
