Poe Collector: Difference between revisions

In ''Ocarina of Time'', the Poe Collector lives in the [[Castle Town]] inside his [[Ghost Shop]]. Link first encounters him as an adult, and sees him as a Poe Collector, as the name suggests. He collects poes in a cage that are angry spirits that hates life. After [[Ganon|Ganondorf]] demolished [[Castle Town]], the Poe Collector thought that it was a perfect time to start a shop there. If Link brings him a [[Big Poe]] that is found outside in [[Hyrule Field]], he will put 100 points on his card and grant him with 50 [[Rupee]]s. Furthermore, when collecting 10 Big Poes of total, he will reward Link with an [[Bottle|Empty Bottle]].

In ''Majora's Mask'', Link encounters the Poe Collector occasionally throughout the game. He also runs a mini-game in the [[Ikana Canyon]], where Link must defeat all the [[Poe Sisters]] to be rewarded with a [[Piece of Heart]]. Unlike his ''Ocarina of Time'' counterparts, he appears more often in the game, giving Link information about certain things throughout his journey. The first time Link encounters him is on the [[Road to Ikana]], sitting atop the hill that leads to the Ikana Canyon. However, he will not allow Link to enter the canyon directly, as he is not suitable for such place, but when he wears the [[Garo's Mask]] while speaking to him, he will summon a withered tree near the ledge of the hill which allows Link to enter the canyon by latching onto it with the [[Hookshot]].{{Ref|MM|3209|Poe Collector}} He also explains that the Ikana Canyon is where regretful spirits without serenity resides.{{Ref|MM|3210|Poe Collector}}{{Ref|MM|3211|Poe Collector}}{{Ref|MM|3213|Poe Collector}}{{Ref|MM|3214|Poe Collector}}{{Ref|MM|3215|Poe Collector}} Link can then enter the Ikana Canyon and participate his mini-game.
