Nintendo 3DS: Difference between revisions

On April 18th, 2013, in a Nintendo Direct conference, a new Zelda game was announced for the Nintendo 3DS. The game has been confirmed to be a sequel to ''[[The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past|A Link to the Past]]'', it will take place in the same game world as ''A Link to the Past'', although this is unclear whether it means the same overworld or not, or whether or not it includes the [[Dark World]]. However, it is confirmed that it is a new game with a new story and dungeons. It is also known that a new mechanic allows Link to turn into a drawing on the wall, giving the game a side-scrolling aspect. The game's viewpoint is from a top down perspective, similar to [[The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass|Phantom Hourglass]] and [[The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks|Spirit Tracks]]. The game's official name is unknown, but many fans have dubbed it "A Link to the Past 2". It uses a variation of the graphics from ''A Link to the Past'', however they are more high-definition and less pixelated.  It is confirmed to use height as an important aspect to solving puzzles, as the 3D feature of the 3DS will allow players to see the height differences in the game.
