Considering that there aren't too many enemies that attack with such rocks, this ring is not a very effective ring. Link can use his basic [[Shield]] instead of this rather useless ring. If a rock hits Link when this ring is equipped, it will make the same sound effect as if Link blocked the rock with his shield.
