The cave was blocked by [[Ganondorf]] after the leader of the [[Goron]]s, [[Darunia]], refused to give the King of Evil the [[Spiritual Stones|Spiritual Stone of Fire]].

Unfortunately, these events caused the Goron poulation to starve, due to the fact that the  gourmet rocks present in the cavern were the primary source of a goron's food.  


The dungeon's item is the [[Bomb Bag]], allowing Link to carry [[Bomb]]s. The [[Mini-Boss]] are multiple [[Lizalfos]] and the [[Boss]] is [[King Dodongo]]. Upon defeating King Dodongo, Link is awarded the Goron's Ruby from Darunia.
