Urbosa's Hand: Difference between revisions

As part of the [[Free the Divine Beasts]] main quest, Link will travel to [[Gerudo Town]], and, disguised as a girl, speak to the [[Gerudo]] Chief [[Riju]] and her guardian [[Buliara]]. They will instruct him to retrieve the stolen [[Thunder Helm]] from the [[Yiga Hideout]], and when he returns from this mission, Riju puts on the Thunder Helm, which causes Link to recall this memory.

The memory begins on Divine Beast Vah Naboris standing in the Gerudo Desert, as Link walks up one of the Beast's outer pathways to where Champion Urbosa lounges on a pile of ornate pillows with Princess Zelda leaning on her, asleep. Urbosa comments that Link got here fast, and that she shouldn't have expected less from the princess' appointed knight. Urbosa tells Link that Zelda was out doing surveys all day, but she is quiet and still now. She asks if Link if he and Zelda have been getting along alright, and he seems surprised by her question. Urbosa then comments that Zelda is clearly frustrated every time she sees Link with the Master Sword, that it makes her feel like a failure with her own destiny and power. Urbosa tells Link this isn't his fault, of course, and laments how unfortunate it is that Zelda has put in so much time and effort -- to the point of passing out kneeling in freezing cold water -- to no avail. She says that this is the motivation behind Zelda's research, and this makes the princess quite special. Urbosa then reminds Link to protect the princess with his life, and that being tasked with doing so is an honor.

Commenting on the chill brought by the desert nights, Urbosa thinks aloud that they should probably bring Princess Zelda inside now. She gets a wry smile, however, considering an alternative, and snaps her fingers. A bolt of lightning strikes the ground near Vah Naboris, presumably caused by the Divine Beast at Urbosa's direction, shaking the ground and startling Zelda awake in a state of utter confusion. Zelda is startled to see Link standing on the platform with herself and Urbosa, and asks how he got there as Urbosa laughs. Zelda asks Urbosa why she's laughing, as the memory focuses on the Thunder Helm, sitting on one of the cushions next to Urbosa, and the memory ends.
