Sawson is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

Sawson works to repair some of the various Skyview Towers throughout Hyrule.

Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

Main article: Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

Sawson can be found at the base of the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. He is attempting to repair it, after a big chunk of the ruins fell from the Sky and knocked off the top of the tower. This also caused the door to get stuck, so no one can enter the tower. He thinks that maybe if Link used the terminal inside, then the door would open.[1][2] He mentions that ruins keep falling from the sky, so Link should be careful.[3] This gives Link a hint to use Recall on the ruins, where he can then reach the top of the tower.

When Link is inside, he can try opening the door, but it still won't budge.[4] After Link uses the terminal, the door will open. Sawson thanks Link for his help, and sits next to the tower to take a break before heading to the next job. [5]

Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower

When Link first arrives at the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, he'll find Sawson standing on the side, glancing up at the enemy Aerocuda.[6][7] He mentions that the Aerocuda has stolen the Terminal from the Skyview Tower]]. Without the terminal, Sawson is not able to fix the Skyview Tower.[8][9]

After Link shoots down the Aerocuda, Sawson will mention that he lost sight of the monster and that the terminal must have fallen down.[10] After Link brings over the terminal to him, he'll thank him and wonder how he carried such a heavy thing.[11][12] He asks Link if he can place the terminal in its proper location, so he can get started on the repair. After Link does so, Sawson will repair the terminal, which allows Link to activate the Skyview Tower.[13][14][15][16] Once Link activates the Skyview Tower, Saweson will head off to his next destination.

Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower

When Link arrives at the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower, the door opens, but the Terminal is not functioning correctly. Sawson can be found just down the cliff to the east. He has come to fix the tower, but the elevator that leads up to the tower is broken as ewll.[17] Sawson points to the metal bit at the top of the elevator, saying that there used to be a platform attached to it, but it is gone. If enough weight was added to that metal bit, the platform he's standing on would go up.[18][19] Sawson wants to get up to fix the Skyivew Tower, but can't quite figure it out.[20]

Link can use Recall on the ruins that fall right next to the elevator to get up to the Skyview Tower. Next to the ruins there are some restoration materials, including several Iron Boxes. Link can use Ultrahand to attach three Iron Boxes to the metal bit. This will be enough weight to pull it down, and pull Sawson up to the Skyview Tower. Sawson will then get to work, fixing the Skyview Tower.[21] After swapping out some parts, Sawson will fix the Skyview Tower.[22] As a thanks for helping him, Sawson will give Link some Chilly Steamed Mushrooms.[23] The meal he gives Link will have Heat Resistance. He advises Link that if he's heading to the desert, he needs to protect himself from the heat.[24]
