Does double damage
Stuns enemies

A Critical Hit is an attack to an enemy in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom that deals double the amount of damage.

Breath of the Wild

In Breath of the Wild, Link is able to deal a Critical Hit in multiple ways. The most common of which is by shooting an Arrow at an enemy and hitting it directly in its head or eye. Successfully hitting the enemy is indicated by a small chime that is heard, as well as the enemy being stunned momentarily.

Alternatively, a Critical Hit can be achieved by tossing a weapon and hitting an enemy with it, or by hitting an enemy on the same strike when the weapon breaks.

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, Critical Hits work just as they did in Breath of the Wild. However, using Fuse to attach a Keese Eyeball with an Arrow will cause the arrow to turn into a homing arrow, hitting the enemy in weak spot and delivering a critical hit.
