The idea of the 3Ds being somehow implemented into the new Zelda game isn’t something that I have heard talked about much. While it isn’t likely that the 3DS will be used in the new game, there are a few interesting ways in which it could be used.  An idea that I had while thinking about it was that a second player could be there as a mobile sheikah stone as well as add a few extra item slots the…

In a recent video by TiLMENDOMiNATiON he showed a side by side comparison of Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS and New 3DS. The main difference was with the frame rate, with it being noticeably lower on the 3DS version of the title where it got quite jittery in parts, the New 3DS version was not perfect but held up much better. The Wii U version of the game will always perform better but you will have a smoother experience…

With the release of a demo on the Japanese eShop for Hyrule Warriors Legends recently we have see some information come across about how the game runs on a regular 3DS, but how does it fair on a New 3DS? since the launch of the upgraded machine there have been several new release games that have been clearly impacted in terms of their ability to run on the regular 3DS, and this just might be another one. Yesterday, we shared…

Despite the release of not only Hyrule Warriors DLC, but also a new handheld entry in Tri Force Heroes, 2015 was relatively low-key for Zelda. As Jon discussed a couple of days ago, the highlight — if you can call it that — was just how little we heard about Zelda Wii U. Based solely on what we know right now, though, 2016 looks to be the series’ biggest year since 2011. Considering that it’s the franchise’s 30th anniversary, as…

During a livestream earlier today, video game company Koei Tecmo gave fans an insight into the new Hyrule Warriors Legends Nintendo 3DS theme. Releasing alongside the game on March 25th 2016, the theme includes characters from the game – both new and old – and is accompanied by the game’s main theme song…

Hyrule Warriors Legends‘ newest fighter, Linkle, is a large point of a discussion these days. With the continuously rising wish for more information on Zelda Wii U, people are often thinking of what to expect from any and all future games. Since the discussion of female protagonists in the series is a popular one, Eiji Aonuma’s recent thoughts on Linkle’s appearance in Hyrule Warriors could be great news for Zelda fans. We may just see more of her if player…

Since 2012, Lorerunner — formerly Archengeia — has been my favorite YouTube personality. With his minimalist approach to production, he excels through pure commentary. The guy’s insightful interpretations, coupled with his infectious enthusiasm, often have me revisiting particular games with a fresh perspective. Throughout the past several months, he has been exploring the underlying themes of each individual Zelda title. This past week in particular has seen the release of ruminations on both Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask. Each…

According to Nintendo Everything, as of Nov. 26, Majora’s Mask 3D badges have been added to the Nintendo Badge Arcade for 3DS. There are six panels with four badges or more, and altogether there are 33 individual badges to collect.

For years and years, feminists from all over have wished for women to be better represented in video games, and how you feel about that is up to you. But one could say that Linkle, the surprise upcoming fighter in Hyrule Warriors Legends, is an example of Nintendo becoming more open-minded about how women are shown as characters in their games, judging by her appearance, her actions, and the simple fact that she is being included. Unfortunately, it seems that…
