Daily Debate: What Zelda Game is First on Your Replay List This Year?

Each year, I love to replay my favorite video games at least once, especially in the Zelda series. With Tears of the Kingdom’s release into the wild in 2023, the waiting game begins again for the next installment in this beloved franchise, giving us ample time to replay many masterpieces in the series. Right now, I’m in the middle of Twilight Princess; a magnificent game that I haven’t touched for years. I plan to finish this adventure first before tackling other favorites like A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time, and The Minish Cap. I have a lot of Zelda games on my replay list, and I can’t help but wonder if we will see a new and improved Nintendo Switch this year, along with the re-release of The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD!

Replaying Zelda games always helps me keep my opinions of them fresh, especially with new entries into the series! But I also just find returning to The Legend of Zelda series as a source of comfort with each year of life. To me, they are familiar and epic tales that never fail to help me to face my personal struggles with courage, and to think about life in a deeper and more meaningful way.

Although we may have to wait a while for a new Zelda, we’ve got plenty of content to tide us over until then. What Zelda games are first on your replay list this year? Do you play any games at least once each year? Let me know in the comments!
