The end of this year is rapidly approaching, which means that it’s time for my favorite annual tradition here at Zelda Dungeon: Best. Zelda. Ever! While no new Zelda games were released this year, we did have some DLC come out for Cadence of Hyrule and we’re looking forward to the upcoming release of a new Hyrule Warriors game: Age of Calamity! The prequel to Breath of the Wild just missed the cut for this year’s list, so you’ll have…

Alright folks, strap in. Today, humble reader, I am going to blow your minds. Everything you thought you knew and understood about the quality of Zelda games is going to be rewritten, as I present my arguments as to why Tri Force Heroes is actually the best title in the series, (because if I didn’t write it, this would have sat in the queue forever). Please raise your hand if you like Link. Yes, the character. I’d be surprised (and perhaps a little…

Hello and welcome back to another week of your favorite Zelda podcast. This week, we chat about Nintendo’s Mini Direct, what games they announced that we’re looking forward too, if we were satisfied with all the announcements, and more before shifting our ficus to the 3DS and remembering what a great system it was for Zelda games and for great video games in general! Come hangout with us, and get ready for a slew of Majora’s Mask content to come…

In the few times that the Zelda series has truly dabbled in creating heavy multiplayer campaigns like Four Swords Adventures and TriForce Heroes, I’ve really enjoyed them. Nintendo’s emphasis on creating fun couch co-op experiences for fans really shines in these games. TriForce Heroes was released somewhat late in the lifespan of the 3DS, and I think it would be a great idea if Nintendo invested in creating a new multiplayer-based Zelda game for the Switch sooner rather than later….

There are many recurring races in the Zelda series: the often elegant and magical Zora, the proud and stubborn Gorons, and the childlike and innocent Koroks. Of course, then there are some one-offs, like the Minish or the Mogma. However, there’s another race that’s very prevalent in few games, but oddly absent in others. I’m talking about the Deku Scrubs. First appearing in Ocarina of Time and then playing a major role in Majora’s Mask, the Deku Scrubs have seldom…

Welcome welcome to another fine episode of the best, most fun Zelda podcast around! This week, the gang tackle a whole plethora of Daily Debate questions at a rapid fire pace – why don’t we think Link’s Awakening Switch is as great as DX? What character would we put into a different Zelda game? Do we want to see a sequel to Twilight Princess? Does technology take away from the fantasy elements of the series? Are we worried about yearly…

A new decade may now be upon us, but we at Zelda Dungeon wanted to take one final look at the decade that was before we shut the door on it completely. The 2010’s can be seen as a rollercoaster ride for The Legend of Zelda, full of many euphoric highs and a few disappointing lows. But with all things said and done, it’s hard to look back at the past ten years and say that the series didn’t experience…

First of all, Happy New Year! Whether you’ve been in the new decade for almost a full day, or you’ve just finished your celebrations, we’re here to party with you through the next 12 months. Kicking off the new decade, and in an attempt to look past the incoming January blues, we’re thinking about what’s coming up for the Zelda series in the next 10 years. The past decade saw the release of 4 brand new titles (Skyward Sword, A Link Between…

From all of us, thank you for your support and we hope you get to eat a ton of food this week!…

I can’t believe it’s that time already, but here we are: it’s time for Zelda Dungeon’s 2019 Edition of the Best. Zelda. Ever! Two Zelda games were released this year — one a remake, and one a spinoff — but maybe most crucially, the next mainline installment of the series was teased at E3 when Nintendo revealed the sequel to Breath of the Wild was to be released! Exciting times are ahead for Zelda fans no doubt, but let’s focus…
