Alright folks, strap in. Today, humble reader, I am going to blow your minds. Everything you thought you knew and understood about the quality of Zelda games is going to be rewritten, as I present my arguments as to why Tri Force Heroes is actually the best title in the series, (because if I didn’t write it, this would have sat in the queue forever).

Please raise your hand if you like Link. Yes, the character. I’d be surprised (and perhaps a little disappointed) if you didn’t. Well, what’s better than one Link? That’s right, three! As with any good chain, the inclusion of more than one Link is perhaps this game’s most valuable asset. But that’s not all…

You know the drill of most Zelda titles by now, and most involve collecting the Triforce at some point. Yes, most of our “courageous” heroes thus far have required the Holy Toblerone to even come close to defeating Ganon. This time though? The closest it gets to an appearance is in the game’s title, and that’s not even as one word! Yet more proof (if needed at this point) that these Links are by far the strongest in the series.

One of the biggest “breakthroughs” made by game of the millennium, Breath of the Wild, was the ability to customize, or indeed remove, Link’s clothing (because let’s be honest, you haven’t really played that game until you’ve clambered over hundreds of mountains in just your underwear and a nice hat). Well, I’m sorry to say dear reader, this breakthrough was a lie. That’s right, a full two years earlier, Tri Force Heroes introduced the costume system Breath of the Wild touts as its own. Not only is this copyright infringement (Nintendo I am on to you), but is yet another indication of how great a game Tri Force Heroes really was.

I could go on, but I’m sure by this point you will all have seen the light and are booting up your 3DS as I type. Normally we like to ask readers to comment their opinions and thoughts below, but we all know there’s no argument to be had now. See you all online, and happy late April fools!
