Here, [[Link]] receives the [[Shield Spell]], a lead on the location of the first heart container{{Ref|AoL|11}}, and important clues regarding [[Parapa Palace]]{{Ref|AoL|14}}{{Ref|AoL|34}}. Link is also informed by the [[Wise Man's Daughter]] that a [[Wise Men|Wise Man]] resides in every town and each have something to teach him{{Ref|AoL|10}}.


Link can obtain the [[Shield Spell]] in this town after speaking to the [[Wise Man's Daughter]]. She will ask Link to visit her father before leaving the town. When Link enters her house, the [[Wise Man]] will be waiting for Link at the end of the basement to teach him the Shield Spell.
