:I get where your coming from. I live in Canada, and we also spell "color" "colour". However, this is an American based website, and thus all spelling must be American spelling. I know it is very inconvenient, but it is what it is. Try your best to try and spell stuff the American way, but dont feel bad or angry if you spell it your way by accident.
