The bean plant will also carry Link over to the [[Fishing Pond]], which until Link completes the [[Water Temple]], is not reachable as the water level of the lake is too low. This plant however, is not required at all, as both locations can be reached by summoning [[Pierre]] with the [[Scarecrow's Song]].
