The Mermaid Key is a quest item from Oracle of Ages. To get it, Link has to give the Letter of Introduction to the Goron who runs the Goron dancing game in the present. Afterwards, if Link plays the dancing game and wins, Link will recieve the Mermaid Key. With this key, it will let Link entrance Mermaid's Cave in the present.
