In select Zelda games, there is something known as a magic meter. It basically tells you how much magic you have left available for use. This Magic Meter has appeared in all 3-D Zelda titles, excluding Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Magic can be recovered by collecting Magic Jars, found in tall grass and other places in the overworld.
