The Grappling Hook is a item used in Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass which has similar uses to the hookshot in other titles. By targeting a piece of wood Link throws the Grappling Hook around it and swings on the wood platform. Also hitting a enemy with it can capture loot from them. If you are in the boat, using this item has the ability of searching for treasure in the Ocean. This item has taken a new form in The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword as a whip and has similar ability's.
