| The '''Golden Wolf''' is the animal version of the [[Hero's Shade]] from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess|Twilight Princess]]''. To meet the Golden Wolf, Link must howl in wolf form at a [[Howling Stone]]. The whole game follows this rule, except for the first time you meet the Golden Wolf; he is sitting on the bridge to the first dungeon and cannot be avoided. At the howling stone, once Link howls the correct song in tune, the Golden Wolf tells him to take "sword in hand" and find him, placing a small wolf's head on Link's map to show him where to go. When Link meets the wolf at the specified location, he growls and jumps at Link, taking him to a special realm where the [[Hero's Shade]] will teach him one of the seven [[Hidden Skills]]. The seven Hidden Skills are revealed throughout the duration of the game.
