| At the start of Ocarina of time you are able to carry up to 10 [[Deku Stick]]s. They are useful for lighting torches and deal twice the damage of the [[Kokiri Sword]], but break upon hitting any object. In order to get the first Deku Stick upgrade, you must go to the [[Lost Woods]]. Below the bridge connecting [[Kokiri Forest]] to [[Hyrule Field]], there is a [[Business Scrub]]. Bounce back the nuts it shoots and then go and talk to him. He will tell you that he can help you be able to pick-up more Deku Sticks for 40 [[Rupee]]s. Pay him the 40 Rupees and receive the first Deku Stick Upgrade.
