Template:Location

Death Mountain is a reccuring location in the series, It's inhabitans are often Gorons, But Ganon has had his lair in Death Mountain too. Sometimes it's just a mountain, But in most games it's an active volcano. The mountains often have similarities throughout the series, And some are considered to be the same, It's located in Hyrule.

Appearance

Legend of Zelda

Death Mountain is a huge mountain range found in northern Hyrule. Inside the mountain Ganon's lair, Level 9. Level 6 is also located on Death Mountain. Death Mountain is inhabited by Tektites, Lynels, and Boulders. There is a lake on the east end which flows and becomes a waterfall and in turn becomes a river that turns into Lake Hylia.

Adventure of Link

It's found in teh south-east in this game, And a cave exists that is much like a maze and Link can find the hammer in this area. Death Mountain in this game doesn't have any dungeons unlike it's predecessor.

A Link to the Past

In this game there are three dungeons that can be found on Death Mountain, Turtle Rock and Ganon's Tower in the Dark World and Tower of Hyera in the Lightworld. Just as in LoZ it's inhabited by Lynels, Tektites and Boulders, Normally Link would need permission from the King to enter Death Mountain, But since Aghanim was in charge there wasn't any need for one. The lake that can be found in LoZ doesn't exist in this game, Although there is a waterfall and a river that create Lake Hylia.

Ocarina of Time

In this installment Death Mountain is home to the Gorons and has a crater that can be visited. The Great Fairy and Fire Temple reside within the Crater while on the outside there are tektites and Dodongo's Cavern. But Ganondorf blocked the path to Dodongo's Cavern with a boulder and the Gorons needed Link's help to destroy the monster within the cave and the boulder itself so they could eat the "Delicious" rocks. There is also a Great Fairy on top of the mountain, But the path upto the mountain is difficult since there are falling rocks that can damage Link, Kakariko Vilalge can be found beneath the mountain, And the entrance to Death Mountain is guraded.

Four Swords

It's a volcanic mountain, It's the third stage of the game where you battle with Gouen to find the Great Fairy.

Four Swords Adventures

Death Mountain is above Hyrule Castle, Just as in Four Swords it's the third stage of the game. It consists of three parts, Death Mountain Foothill, THe Mountain Path and The Tower of Flames, Tingle's Tower can also be found here,

Twilight Princess

Death Mountain is located in the east (West Wii Version) and is inhabited by the Gorons. It's volcano can erupt some times, Although in this game the Gorons are hostile with the Hylians at first, But Link can fix that relationship. Kakariko Village is located just beneath the Mountain just as in Ocarina of Time, On top you can find the Goron Mines. The Gorons in this game also are very fond of hot springs.

(The music that plays on Death Mountain is a remix of the original track from Ocarina of Time)
