Boars can also be very frustrating to defeat as depending on the height of the ground, they could be impossible to hit from some angles. Avoid Boars whenever possible, but if they must be fought then make sure they are slightly higher than Zelda so that you can slash at them with the sword. Boars will not give any ruby rewards once they are defeated.
