In ''[[Zelda II: The Adventure of Link|The Adventure of Link]]'', [[Link (The Legend of Zelda)#The Adventure of Link|Link]] encounters Armored Stalfos beginning in the [[Island Palace]]. Their behavior is generally identical to their Stalfos counterparts though they take more damage to kill and hit harder with their swords. Unlike [[Iron Knuckle]]s or [[Lizalfos]], they cannot move their shields. Link must quickly squat and slash his sword to deal damage.
