'''Onox, General of Darkness''',{{Ref|OoS|450|Onox}} is the main antagonist in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons]]''. He was summoned from the [[Sacred Realm|Dark Realm]] by [[Twinrova]].{{Ref|OoS|1603|Onox}} In the beginning of the game, he kidnaps [[Din (Oracle)|Din]], the Oracle of Seasons, causing the seasons to be thrown into disorder.{{Ref|OoS|658|Onox}}{{Ref|OoS|663|Onox}} [[Link]] travels to the Northern Peak to defeat Onox.{{Ref|OoS|583|[[Maku Tree (Oracle of Seasons)|Maku Tree]]}} Despite his heavily armored exterior and use of the knocked out Din as a shiled, Onox's true form is a dragon that Link must fight in order to complete his adventure in [[Holodrum]].{{Ref|OoS|1607|Onox}}

==Strategy==

 

The battle against Onox will take place in [[Onox's Castle]]. It is a difficult battle, so taking a potion in with you is recommended. During the first phase of the battle, Onox will carry a large ball and chain which you must try to avoid at all costs. He will swing it around his head and slam it onto the ground, which will send out debris which can also damage you. He almost might jump, which causes boulders to fall from the ceiling. To fight him, you have to hit him with [[Spin Attack]]s (regular sword slashes will not hurt him). After taking a few hits, he will send Din in front of him as a barrier. If you hit her with your sword you will take damage, so you must knock her away with the [[Rod of Seasons]]. After that, Din will float around the room and occasionally block you from attacking Onox again. Onox will still have his ball and chain, but he will also send out tornadoes that are difficult to avoid. You can use the [[Roc's Cape]] to jump over them. After a few more hits with the spin attack, Onox will disappear. Now holes will appear in the floor, and eventually you will have to fall through.

 

Once fallen through, Link will encounter Onox once again. Unlike the previous phase, Onox will transform into his true form, the '''Dark Dragon'''. He has a variety of attacks. When he spits blue fire at you, you can either move out of the way or jump over it with the Roc's cape. He also might fly to one side of the room and slide his hand across the ground at you. You can avoid this by running right to the edge of the screen opposite his hand. His final attack is to try and slam his hand down on top of you. This is where you can make your move. When he readies his hand, move out of the way. When he slams it down, jump on top of it. Once he raises his hand back up, you can use the Roc's cape to jump to the jewel on his head and slash at it. If you time your jump carefully, you can make it to the other hand and make the jump again. After many hits, Onox will finally be defeated.
