Find Princess Zelda is the first quest that Link acquires. He first receives the quest after speaking with a Steward Construct at the Garden of Time on the Great Sky Island. After giving Link the Purah Pad, the Construct tasks Link with visiting the Tears of the Kingdom to search for Princess Zelda.
You found yourself on a strange island in the sky after you awoke. A steward construct claimed that Princess Zelda gave it her Purah Pad, all to get it into your hands.
