"Hey, you! Your shoes are grimy! I'll polish 'em for you for 10 Rupees."
— Soal
Soal is a young boy who makes his living in Castle Town as a shoe shiner in Twilight Princess. Soal works just outside of Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium, where he polishes shoes for a fee of 10 Rupees.[1][2] In order to get inside Chudley's Emporium, Link needs to have his shoes shiny, or else the doorman will reject him, saying Link's dirty shoes will make the other clients uncomfortable.[3] However, this is a waste of time and money; the shop's prices are more than the capacity of Link's wallet, including prices of 9,000, 10,000, and 100,000 Rupees.[4][5][6]
