The Legend of Zelda Worlds

The Legend of Zelda Worlds Collide is a RPG fan-made game created by my friend Emily-Ann Coons under the name of "Knights Creations" she uses a program called RPG maker XP. It follows the adventures of Link as he travels though Limbo not only to stop Ganon but to also make peace in the other worlds. He gets the help of other Nintendo characters such as Mario and Pokemon.

Plot and Setting "warning there will be spoilers"

It has been three years since Link defeated Ganon last, but his minions got together into a group called Order of the Underground Monsters. Despite that it is not Zelda's main concern however, she is worried about the Temple of Time she has heard that someone has sneaked inside and stolen the three Spiritual Stones. She sends Link the investigate when Link arrives he finds out that Dark Link has stolen the stones. After a dramatic battle, Dark Link teleports Link to Limbo, a Realm Between Dimensions where he meets Lucia, the Guardian of Limbo. She explains that Ganon has gained a mysterious power and he doesn't want to rule Hyrule but all worlds. In order to beat Ganon this time he needs the help of the Super Mario Brothers. Lucia and Link go though until they both find the portal to the Mushroom World. Lucia has to stay behind in order for Link to come back to Limbo. Link goes to the castle where he meets the Super Mario brothers.

It is here that Link finds out that Mario's enemy King King Bowser Koopa has been attacking to conquer the kingdom for ages. Recently his attacks are different and strange his army the Koopa Troopa has never been seen in the longest time. Link learns that Mario was about investigate the odd attacks and they both team up. When they reach Bowser's Keep Dark Link appears and cuts the bridge. They go back to Peach's Castle and talk to Peach. Peach explains that there is an underground way that leads to Bowser's Keep when Bowser first kidnapped her.

Link and Mario go though the passage they find and fight strange creatures that are not from that world. Towards the end they meet a Magikoopa who doesn't want them getting though. In this intense battle he summons three green koopas to his side. As usual the heroes win and move on. They make it though Bowser's Keep and they find out Ganon was calling all the shots the whole time. Ganon quickly escapes to Limbo leaving Mario and Link the honor to fight a very angry Bowser.

They both get controlled of Bowser and go back to Peach's Castle. Peach asks Link to tell her more about Ganon he does and also explains that he needs Mario's help to stop Ganon she understands and lets Mario go with Link. Once they both get back to Limbo Lucia explains that Dark Link as spread the three spiritual stones throughout the worlds and one of them is in "a world of magical creatures" along the way they meet a female tomboyish Umbreon named Shadow. She helps the team go though Limbo and into her world.

It is in that world where they go north to Mt. Moon and they discover a nasty plot by Team Rocket. Going their way though they stop Giovanni's plans and defeat his secret weapon Shadow Pokemon. They get back the Spritual Stone of the Forest. But when they come back they find out the Ganon's Minons have been attacking the peaceful land of Sarasa Land. Story still developing at this point

Gameplay

The game uses a lot of custom systems, such as a Real-Time Active Battle system with animated side view battle graphics. It features a unique gender system, allowing you to select Link's gender in game. Other features include a Sound Test Ocarina, an Advanced Message System designed by CCOA, a system that changes your currency depending on the world you're in, and an Item Gain Window.

Characters

   Nintendo Canon Characters

Link - Just like every other Zelda game, Link once again returns to this game. However, in this game people have the ability to change his gender, allowing for people to play a female version of Link if they so choose. He's the main protagonist and it is his task to collect those who must aid him along the way.

Mario - The Hero of the Mushroom World, Link must join forces with him to find the Spiritual Stones and stop Ganondorf's evil rule.

Shadow - A talking Umbreon who joins Link and company sometime later in the game. She aids them by being the quickest and thus the best to throw healing items out.

   Original characters

Lucia - The Guardian of Limbo. She's only ever played while in Limbo itself, but her skills make her the best for healing while in Limbo.

   Nintendo Canon Villains

Ganondorf - The standard antagonist of the Zelda universe. He's crazed with the desire for power and to conquer all worlds.

Bowser - The standard antagonist of the Mario universe. His goal is to conquer the Mushroom World with Peach at his side, but for some reason, as of late, something seems strange about him.

Giovanni - The head of Team Rocket, his goal is to conquer the World of Magical Creatures with his newly created invention.

Dark Link - Seemingly an important character in the game, he has stolen the Spiritual Stones from the Temple of Time.

Development and Ownership

The game has been in development since March of 2011 and has released 3 demos, the current being version 3.1.

Though it is a fan made game, full credit is given to Nintendo. The game is not being sold for profit, and is only being shared as a tribute to Nintendo's Zelda series.

Reception

The game has so far been hailed as being a good game, looking "really good" according to those who have seen it so far. Technical Issues and Glitches

There are likely to be several issues and glitches in the game so far in Demo v3.1.

- There is a chance of some of the characters in the game referring to Link as a guy when the player has selected the female Link. This is due primarily to the fact that Demo v3.1 was not tested after the addition of the Female Link was added into the game.

- Certain doors may cause Female Link to become male in character sprite.

- The game is not yet complete, so the graphics have not been properly compiled with the game. As such, it still requires the RPG Maker XP Run-Time Package (RTP) to run the game. Trivia

The game came about because of Emily-Ann's bad experiences with The Legend of Zelda: The Fallen Sage. Though she didn't know the game was also being remade at the time.
Demo v3.1 does not include any Sidequests.
Demo v3.1 is likely to be a showcasing of what will be in the game more then it is a "start to finish" playthrough of what is currently produced.
The idea may have come from a webcomic called Legend of the Mushroom Kingdom written by Thriller-Man that she actively reads.
Demo version 3.1 is now known to include an out of date battle system, out of date maps, and several missing levels that should exist.
