We're glad that you signed up so that you can edit, build, and shape the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Before you start editing, why don't you check out some of these useful links and read these basic rules?

  • Edit your settings. Make sure you have set up your settings to make the wiki work the way you want it. We have a bunch of customizations that we have spent time creating, and we hope that you utilize them to the fullest.
  • Please treat all members with respect. We don't want to have to ban someone because there is an issue between our users.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when making edits to properly format pages. Use templates often to save on coding everything.
  • If you have some questions, instead of sitting around doing nothing, ask our administration team. They won't bite.
  • Head to our help page to find some links to helpful pages that will teach you how to do many things on the wiki.
  • Read the FAQ to find the answers to a few common questions.
  • Please use proper grammar and strive for good edits.
  • Always sign talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically sign the page with your username and date.
  • Use talk pages to talk about edits on pages. Do not participate in editing wars (i.e. editing a page over and over again to make the page what you think it should be rather than what another member thinks) as they are counter productive and will not solve the problem. Use the talk pages like they were meant to be used.

We hope that you enjoy your time here on the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and that you will help us make lots of really good edits. Keep in mind that the administration team will be watching for quality editors to bring them on to our site staff.

Do you have any initial questions? Feel free to ask on one of our staff talk pages.

Thanks again for joining! Can't wait to see you around!

Hey! I'm trying to get seed #446 and I can't seem to get your instructions to work... any more info/ideas? Platinummyr (talk) 01:17, March 13, 2017 (UTC)

Hey! Pretty new at wikis so not sure if this is the right way to respond. I used a Knight's Halberd and hit the rock 9 times to bounce it off the prow of the "ship". I can head back in a bit to take a screenshot of the angle or try it with a different weapon. Gbwatter (talk) 05:07, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, it would help if I knew which rock and whether you moved it before aiming.. I tried to do a bunch of things, but I always ended up either knocking the rock off of the top or having it miss. Thanks! Platinummyr (talk) 04:38, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I definitely move it before aiming. If it makes you feel any better this took me a bunch of save/loads and I'm still failing a bunch trying to get a screenshot of a good angle/weapon combo. Maybe there's a better/more obvious way to get the rock up there that I'm missing? Gbwatter (talk) 05:07, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
That does. I spent a lot of time trying it and failed a lot. To be sure, what should I aim for? I will try to see if I can get a working angle myself. Platinummyr (talk) 05:19, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
I GOT IT! I think I see how to do it, and it's really finicky so I will try to take some screenshots Platinummyr (talk) 05:50, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
Woo hoo, congrats!! I tried again and was able to get a rock up there 2x more times (out of like, 6-10 tries - yikes) - once with a Boat Oar (4x hits) and once with a Fishing Harpoon (9x hits). I chose those weapons because you can find them around Lurelin Village, although they can be frustrating to use since they break quickly. Both times did feel very much at the mercy of the game's physics engine, but I don't know of a more reliable way to get it up there unfortunately. Was able to take screenshots with the one of the Fishing Harpoon - maybe this will help?
The angle I try to achieve before setting down the rock - using Z target and strafing to make sure Link's head is towards the prow
Screenshot of the hill I'm using - I initially used the lower hill below this one, but ended up switching to the higher one as it seemed more reliable
Looks like you already cleaned up the wiki entry for that seed - thanks so much for doing a better job than me at describing it!! :D Gbwatter (talk) 06:03, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
