Hi,
I am Johan aka bubble, I made a few Zelda game codebases,
First there is the Python/Pygame (http://pygame.org) Zelda II - the adventure of link : https://github.com/zork9/pygame-pyZeldaII Second is "Link's Awakening 2" at https://github.com/zork9/zelda-links-awakening-2 written in C++ with Windows Visual C++ files and Linux build script.
You download these with the git software's "git clone" command. The README files help you further on.
