There are 3 stages to the boss fight with the Demon Train. Link must use the [[Spirit Train]] to destroy the Demon Train. The fight takes place on four sets of train tracks. The Demon Train uses up two sets of tracks while Link uses the other two with the Spirit Train. The Demon Train will occasionally switch between the two sets of tracks and to avoid hitting it, Link must put the Spirit Train in reverse to slow it down. Keep in mind that during this battle, you can not come to a full stop in the Spirit Train, only change speeds (Reverse being the slowest). On some parts of the track there will be dark fires that will damage the Spirit Train if not avoided by Link.

During the first part of the boss fight the Demon Train will drop explosive barrels out of it's sides to hit the Spirit Train. Link must blast these barrels with the cannon before they drop out to cause damage to the Demon Train.
