Technically, the Paraglider is completely optional, and it is possible to beat the game without it, as Link can tank the falls on the way to Ganondorf with fairies or fall-damage cancel by latching onto a wall at the right time. However, this necessitates some creative strategy in order to kill Colgera without using the updrafts, as well as necessitating some very accurate skydiving for the [[Demon Dragon]].
