Breath of the Wild
10,000 years prior to Breath of the Wild, the Sheikah had created the four Divine Beasts and four unknown pilots were chosen to control them and work with the hero and the princess of that era to fight the ancient evil. When Calamity Ganon emerged, they fought vigorously and together with the Guardians, they successfully managed to seal Calamity Ganon for 10,000 years. These Champions were only seen in the ancient tapestry and during the tale that Impa tells, but never in the game itself and it was never specified if their races correspond to the respective current Champion.

When King Rhoam hears of a prophesy of Calamity Ganon's return, he had the Divine Beasts and the Guardians excavated from the earth that they had been long buried over several millennia. Eventually, he selected four elite warriors who would assume control over the Divine Beasts to counter Ganon and sent his daughter, Princess Zelda in inquire their part in fulfilling their role. The four Champions in Breath of the Wild are Mipha of the Zora, Daruk of the Gorons, Urbosa of the Gerudo, and Revali of the Rito. She first pays a visit to Revali, who is struggling hard to master his new ability, Revali's Gale and was hard on himself when he messed up. After noticing the princess, he deduces that she needs him to defeat Ganon and he accepts his role, before trying to summon an updraft again and he was able to excel.Champion Revali's Song
